Caseificio Defendi wins at Infiniti Blu awards with Gorgonzola and Baffalo Blu cheese

Caseificio Defendi awarded the Excellence medal and two Superior Quality medals for its Baffalo Blu, Gorgonzola dolce and Gorgonzola piccante at the prestigious National cheese Competition Infiniti Blu 2025. An event that celebrates the Best Italian blue cheese organised by ONAF (National Organisation of Cheese Tasters) and Slow Food during the National Gorgonzola Festival promoted by Pro Loco.

Defendi’s Baffalo Blu and Gorgonzola stood out for their quality, balance, innovation and respect for tradition, winning high-level awards:

Excellence award for Baffalo Blu, for its enveloping creaminess and intense but harmonious flavour, made exclusively from high-quality buffalo milk. An innovative cheese, capable of interpreting the art of blue cheese in a contemporary key.
