Caseificio Defendi multi-awarded at the International Cheese Awards 2018

This year , Caseificio Defendi received again important awards for the quality of its cheeses at the International Cheese Awards 2018, one of the largest and most prestigious international dairy competitions, held on July 24th in Nantwich, England.

Over 5000 cheeses from more than 27 countries around the world, participated in the competition, and were judged by over 300 expert tasters and professionals in the sector. After five hours of tasting, the decision was made, which once again rewarded the high quality, care and attention of the expert cheesemakers of the Defendi cheese factory.

BAFFALO BLU, buffalo blue cheese, and GORGONZOLA PIQUANT BACCO VERDE have obtained respectively the silver medal and two bronze medals in the category “THE BEST BLUE CHEESES IN THE WORLD”. CAMEMBERT DI BUFALA has won the title “HIGHLY COMMENDED CHEESE“.
